  1. This tetrad of the effects of technologies and 
  2. artefacts presents not a sequential process, but 
  3. rather four simultaneous ones. All four aspects 
  4. are inherent in each artefact from the start. The 
  5. four aspects are complementary, and require 
  6. careful observation of the artefact in relation to 
  7. this ground, rather than consideration in the 
  8. abstract.
